Report: Legal issues resurface for Deezies head coach
MARLETTE (Y!SN) -- A Marlette City Court judge has reauthorized an arrest warrant for Deezies fa Sheezies head coach C-Deezy fa Sheezy, casting his appearance at Sunday's game against the Ex-Cons in doubt.
The warrant alleges that fa Sheezy has failed to appear before the court to face an outstanding charge of disorderly conduct, and has failed to provide an adequate explanation for missing rescheduled court dates.
fa Sheezy was originally arrested by Marlette police in October 2007 after allegedly propositioning an officer in a Burger King bathroom. He then disappeared shortly before a scheduled preliminary hearing that December, reappearing without explanation in August 2009.
fa Sheezy's next (and to date, last) appearance before the court was in September 2009, when the wrestler-turned-coach was arraigned on a contempt-of-court charge stemming from the previous failure to appear. He posted a $10,000 bond -- since forfeited -- and was on the sidelines for the Deezies' loss to the Ex-Cons.
The warrant effectively prevents fa Sheezy from travelling outside the Ann Arbor city limits without facing the possibility of arrest. It also is likely that once fa Sheezy is arrested, he would be considered a flight risk and would need to post a much larger bail amount in order to be released from custody.
Officials at Deezies Sports Limited, which owns the Deezies fa Sheezies, could not be reached for comment.
